ah man thats shit, would it still apply to you even though you’re often off for valid reasons due to illness? our school says that about attendance though but they should know correlation =/= causation pffft

i guess yeah b/c it’s not even based on like authorised absences or anything it’s just attendance in general so even if all your absences are authorised due to health reasons (which most of mine are), it makes no difference b/c they just look at your attendance rate and that’s it. which is why i never bother getting the authorisation forms anymore because it makes no difference and school KNOW i have health problems that affect my attendance and i talk about them regularly with the mentor because i see her once a week and we always talk about my attendance in the last week since i last saw her. 

they might not make me pay for them, they might not make ANYONE pay for them, they haven’t got a policy that we definitely will have to it’s just sorta a threat like “we reserve the right to…” so idk what they will decide to do sigh. but i’m gonna talk to the mentor about it tomorrow and see if she knows anything more about it/can find out/can pass on my concerns to head of sixth form who is aware of my health problems and generally pretty sympathetic and helpful
